Our Physiotherapists have decades of experience and expertise past their University Qualifications and are passionate about assisting you to achieve your wellness goals. All our Physios are registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

What to expect from your session with Embody Movement Physiotherapy
Assessment and diagnosis
During your consultation we will review your medical history and assess your physical condition. Together we will discuss symptoms and contributing factors and answer any questions you have. We will provide an accurate diagnosis before treating you to relieve pain and regain movement.
The time that you spend with our physiotherapists is an investment in your health and wellness. We ensure that you understand the causes of your pain and help you to manage injury and prevent recurrence.
Physiotherapy treatment
This is the active component to your recovery. Our physiotherapists have years of experience and thus a wide repertoire of manual skills and techniques including:
Manipulation, massage, manual traction and joint mobilisation
Muscle energy techniques
Myofascial and soft tissue release
Dry needling
Taping
Corrective Exercise
Ergonomic and postural advice
Our hands-on treatment means we spend the entire consultation with you. Our highly qualified Physios will use a range of these techniques to help progress you through your recovery. We aim to get you moving, active and strong again, reduce pain and prevent recurrence.
Rehabilitation and post-surgery recovery
Our Physiotherapists will also provide advice for self-management, including exercises and activity modification if required, and options for supervised exercise rehabilitation, if appropriate.
Embody Movement has two fully equipped Pilates Studio and equipment that supports rehabilitation physiotherapy and post-surgery recovery. We establish a recovery program that can be done at home or in the studio. Individual or small group Pilates classes are available. We can also arrange Hydrotherapy sessions.
Our Sunshine Coast Physiotherapists work closely with local GPs, medical specialists, orthopaedic surgeons and allied health professionals to ensure a team approach to managing your condition.
